"I was determined to change this year,
but before I knew it, June is almost over."

Does such a thought cross your mind?

Current
Summer Solstice (Geshi)
June 21 - July 6

Around June 21st, we welcome the "Summer Solstice" (Geshi). This period, with the longest daylight hours of the year and the sun's energy at its peak, has traditionally been recognized as a "turning point."

The first half of the year ends, and the second half begins. For work, daily life, and yourself—now is the perfect time to pause and re-evaluate.

The Summer Solstice: "Peak Energy" and "Gateway to Introspection"

In the 24 Seasonal Terms, the Summer Solstice marks the moment when yang energy is at its maximum, but also a turning point where it gradually begins to shift towards "yin." At this time, when nature gently signals a "change of pace," we too can pause and look inward.

✦ What is the Summer Solstice?

The day with the longest daylight hours of the year. The sun's power reaches its peak, and from here, nature slowly begins to shift towards autumn and winter. The Forte Diary Monthly Planner includes these 24 Seasonal Terms, allowing you to naturally feel the change of seasons each time you open your planner.

Reflecting on the First Half of the Year: Writing Down Your True Feelings That No One Else Sees

When asked, "How was the first half of the year?", do you often just vaguely say, "It was okay" or "It was busy"? However, when you write down your true feelings in your planner, in words no one else will see, unexpected emotions can emerge.

Research shows that women, in particular, can organize their emotions and gain motivation for their next actions by "writing down their true feelings that no one else sees." Journaling is one of the easiest and most effective ways to objectively re-examine yourself.

✍ First Half Reflection Journal - Things I want you to write about

① What was the best thing about the first half of the year?

It can be something small. "That day's lunch was delicious," or "I got through that job."

② Honestly, what was difficult?

Write down something you couldn't tell anyone, just here. Writing it down can mysteriously lighten the load a little.

③ Where are your New Year's resolutions now?

It's okay if you forgot. If you can't remember, write down what you value now.

④ If you could say one thing to your future self in the second half of the year?

A letter to your future self. This will be the biggest fuel to drive the second half.

3 Steps to "Design" Your Second Half

After reflecting, it's time to design "your second half." It doesn't have to be a big goal. A small design that makes your current self a little happier is enough.

STEP 01

Write down only one thing you want to achieve in the second half

Instead of trying to "do everything," focusing on one thing makes your actions more concrete. Write it in your My Life Planner.

STEP 02

Envision yourself in December, "as you want to be"

What are you doing? How do you feel? Who are you with? Use your five senses to imagine and write it down as concretely as possible.

STEP 03

Decide on your first step for July

Write one line in your Weekly Planner for "what to do next week." A small step will start moving the second half.

"In the light of the Summer Solstice,
I'm going to meet my second half."
